THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and experienced results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our innovative team at Flotilla – a leader in sustainability technology and advisory solutions. The SDR will play a vital role in managing and coordinating our sales operations, from managing incoming leads to closing deals, while collaborating across teams to ensure seamless communication and execution. This role is critical in aligning sales, marketing and client team efforts to drive growth and deliver exceptional client experiences.

THE GOALS

  • Sales Conversion: Working with marketing driven leads, from initial inquiry through to deal closure, ensuring each stage of the sales process is handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Sales Process Coordination: Act as the central coordinator for the sales process, working closely with marketing and the client team to ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned on the status and progression of leads.
  • CRM: Utilising the Flotilla CRM system (HubSpot), ensuring accurate and timely updates of lead details, interactions, and status changes to facilitate reporting and team visibility.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyse detailed sales reports on lead activity, pipeline progress, and sales performance metrics to identify trends, measure performance, and support strategic decision making to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Liaise with the marketing team to identify and develop sales content and materials required at each stage of the sales funnel. Ensure that client-facing teams have the resources needed to engage and convert leads.
  • Industry Trends and Insights – Provide regular feedback on industry insights and trends to inform the development of marketing campaigns and identify new business opportunities.
  • Sales Presentations: Customise and deliver compelling sales presentations and materials for client pitches and industry events.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a key contact point for prospective clients, managing inquiries, providing updates, addressing their needs, and guiding them through the decision-making process to ensure successful deal closures.

 

THE PERSON

 We are a small, close-knit team working with entrepreneurial and ambitious clients, including professional service firms, financial funds, private equity and public sector. To thrive in this role, candidates should have experience engaging with C-suite executives and share our ambition and drive to build a leading UK climate tech and advisory business. 

  • 3+ years of proven sales experience with a focus on delivering value to clients
  • Commercially-minded with a strong understanding of business priorities, skilled at identifying opportunities, and making data-driven decisions to drive revenue and deliver value.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, particularly HubSpot, and strong data management skills.
  • Excellent at connecting with people and building strong relationships across teams and with clients.
  • Are autonomous, proactive and excited to be part of a dynamic, vibrant and fast paced business.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities – with a “get things done” attitude.
  • Analytical skills to generate insights from sales data and inform strategy.
  • Passion for sustainability and an understanding of “green” tech is highly desirable but not essential.

LOCATION

The role is full-time, based in our Harrogate and Leeds offices, with flexible hybrid working options.
